Vienna, Austria

For my first post for the year I thought I would catch up on my trip to Europe from last year now that I have gotten around to going through them.

In second semester of last year I was very lucky to go on the Avondale College Music Study tour. While I have been involved in music in some form or another for most of my life, I have never really studied it. I must say that while I had a fabulous time just being in Europe, it was also vey exciting to learn about the history of the music and composers that I have been involved with for so long.

We started our tour, after 34 hours in transit, in Vienna, Austria.

St Stephens Cathedral

Parliament House

Schonbrunn Palace

Maria Theresa

Beethovens Last House

Museum of Ancient Instruments

Turkish Palace

Haydns House (about an hour north of Vienna)

Mozart Concert in period costumes
