Venice, Italy

Venice was a fabulously beautiful city if you like old stone architecture and lots of churches. Of all the cities we visited I found it the most interesting to photograph. With so much history and culture it was a thouroughly fascinating place to vist.

St Marks Square (well just outside, shot from the top of St Marks Basilica)

Lots of old buildings and canals

Here begin the churches...

The oldest church in Venice built in the 1077

There was a beautiful sunrise at the decent time of 7.10am every morning

I managed to fit in some night photography on our last night there

The Venice Opera House
I couldnt decide whether it should be in Colour or Black & White,
Can you help me decide?

  1. The opera house is a stunning place. There is no doubt about that. It depends on what effect you wish to have. Both photos state the fact that this is an old place as well as depicting it like Leonardo da Vinci had painted it two different ways. Twixt and tween.
